Kentucky Administrative Regulations, Title 302, Chapter 021, Regulation 030

As of 2018, any producers raising calves in the state of Kentucky are prohibited from using veal crates.

In 2014, the Kentucky Livestock Commission issued a ban on the practice of confining calves in veal crates. They put forward new requirements stipulating that all calves raised in the state must be housed in such a way that β€œthe pens allow for air circulation and lighting, allow socialization between veal calves, and allow the calves to stand without impediment, rest in normal postures, groom, and eat.” More information can be found in Title 302, Chapter 021, Regulation 030 of the Kentucky Administrative Regulations.
